When you tweet can have a big impact on the impact your tweets have – how many retweets, mentions, follows and clicks you get as a result. But how can you figure out the best time to tweet? And how can you make sure you do it consistently? Enter Tweriod and Buffer.

Find the Best Time to Tweet with Tweriod

Tweriod is a cool little tool which will analyse your tweets and your followers to determine the very best time to tweet. Using it is as simple as this:

1. Visit www.tweroid.com
2. Sign up with your twitter account credentials
3. When redirected to twitter, authorise Tweriod to access your account
4. Now Tweriod will send you a direct message to your Twitter account
5. Follow the link in the message to go to your Tweriod dashboard
6. Click ‘My Analysis’ to view a report on the times when tweeting will gain you the most exposure. It’ll look like this:

Scheduling Tweets with Buffer

So you don’t want to revolve your life around your optimal twitter posting schedule, huh? Well luckily, there’s an easier way.

Buffer is tool for posting to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media sites. It offers a wide range of options for tweeting, etc, from within your browser and various apps.

But the best feature is the ability to schedule tweets so that they are send out at times you choose. You can add tweets at any time, but they will only be sent out according to your schedule.

To get started, simply:

1. Create a (free) buffer account
2. From the dashboard, add your twitter account
3. When redirected, authorise Buffer to access your twitter account

Note that the free account only allows you to enqueue up to 10 tweets, but if you need to you can get an unlimited queue with their Awesome plan.

Integrating Buffer and Tweriod

Here’s where the real magic happens. We’re going to send the optimal schedule calculated by Tweriod and send it to Buffer. That way, any tweets we post through buffer with automatically be sent at the optimal time to maximally reach our audience.

1. Go to your Tweriod schedule report
2. You’ll see a button labelled ‘Connect with Buffer’. Click this.
3. Click to allow Tweriod to access your Buffer account.
4. Review your optimal schedule and click ‘Send to Buffer’

Using the Buffer / Tweriod Setup

Now all you need to do is post you tweets though Buffer. And they’ll be sent out at the optimal times Tweriod worked our for you.

One thing to note is that your optimal tweeting times may drift over time. Fortunately, Tweriod will send you out a new analysis each month. If you’re really lazy, you can even upgrade your Tweriod account to have it automatically sync the best times to Tweriod as they change.
